ENGLISH-BASED CAREER ORIENTATION SEMINAR FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (PART Ⅱ)

The seminar involves the presentation of the overview of Japanese job-hunting process for international students of Doshisha University Kyotanabe campus. The second seminar focuses on the introduction of recruitment website and agencies that the students can refer to. As a continuation from the first seminar, the discussions will be regarding company expectations and business manners, and salary information. The seminar will be mostly in a question and answer (Q&A) or discussion format, where the students will be freely communicating with the speaker to ask points not covered but are essential to the topic of job-hunting. The seminar will consist of short group activities aiming to gain knowledge about different perspectives from discussion. Most importantly, since the target audience is a group of international students mainly belonging to ISTC, speakers of Kyo Tomorrow Academy will conduct the seminar in English. Aside from discussion of job-hunting, the seminar would also be a method to promote activities done by ISTC Office, which promote the university to outside students. The seminar is free to charge.
